    Question about 3 gun shotgun

I'm starting to get into 3 gun and was using a pump shotgun. I want to transition into a semi auto shotgun. I'm looking at the JM pro but none of the stores in my area have it in stock. One store does however have the Remington VersaMax Tactical. I'm curious is it worth it to spend the extra money for the Remington? I really like 3 gun and want to compete a lot more. Is there gonna be that much of a greater upside to spend that much for the Remington vs the JM? Thanks

I've seen quite a few Versamax out there. Definitely a well-liked shotgun. But that JM Pro is definitely at the right price point if you can find one. It's well set-up out of the box, for sure...though it may not be quite as durable or reliable as the Remingtons or the Benelli's are.

    Ditch the pump-action, for sure!

If you find a good JMPro, then run with that. There are reports of feeding problems with some of them.
The VMax is easier to load though, since the port is huge. Mine also didnt shoot slugs straight out of the box so i had to correct it.
How much is $500-$600 worth to you?

I think the Versa-Max is also self regulating. So you shouldn't have a problem going from birdshot to 3" mag slugs in the same tube.

Vepr12? isnt that a purpose 3 gun shotgun too? Well, probably works better without the BB
If you need help with any stragglers, call a friend, because it's likely that they have a gun. America in particular have done exceptionally well taking care of the problem, as there are 1.12 guns for every 1 American citizen. So throw a rock, you'll probably hit a gun, pick up that gun, then shoot a zombie.

I almost have the money for the versamax. But it's a lot more compared to the JM. I'm totally fine spending the money as long as it is worth it.

The VM is a super soft shooting shotgun. If you can swing it financially, buy it. You will have no regrets.

Michael Blane in his Downrange podcasts speaks highly of his Versamax.
RIP Louis Awerbuck. I miss you and your training.
