Talking to my LGS owner, South African olympic trap shooter and european gold medalist he had a lot to say about the gun and showed me the differenced between it and his custom, hand made browning.

I asked "If I'm just supposed to "point" at the target, what do I with the mid-bead and the front sight?" And his answer was, you don't use them.

So, what DO you use them for? Slug-shooting rifle-style? Obviously professional trap shooters use their tools differently than a dabbler like me who wants a kickass HD unit that can be used for fun shooting on the ranch too.

But being a complete novice to the shotgun, I'd like to have some idea of what to use those sighting systems for!

Oh, and we discovered that I am totally left-dominant. When I sight down the rib (right eye, right shoulder) and then open both eyes the rib disappears and the only thing I see is a face-full of the left side of the barrel. Bleh.
