Mossberg 590 SP Eye Candy (56k evil!)

    Hi guys,

Once again I bring you the best i have to offer. Today we will be exploring the mossberg 590 SP. I have kept this rig relatively simple for the main purpose this being an HD piece. but i think you will enjoy the pics

    Accessories:
    mesa tactical shell holder
mesa tactical AR stock & Grip adaptor
hogue overmolded pistol grip (Not pictured)
stag 6 pos' stock w/ milspec tube
vang comp SS follower & spring
    upgraded safety to A1 mod

HD loadout: federal tactical LR/LV 00 Buck; Federal Tactical LR/LV Truball slugs

I am in love with the sights. even with cheap winchester slugs, i can hit a 5" area at 100yd relatively consistently.

      Very nice.

I have been pricing longer (M16 compatable) knives/bayonets for mine.

For my taste (whicth is bizaarrr) you could concider a heat sheild and meannist bayonette yout can find.
PLEASE WEAR EYE PROTECT & PROTECTIVE GEAR IN SHOP!!!!!! You can order another part from from manufacturer, but you can't order another finger or eye from your mother & father.

actually, not weird at all. a heat shield and bayonet are probably going to be my last upgrades. bayonet will be off most of the time, until of course melons are on sale at the grocery store.

if you want a decent bayonet look at the ontario m9 style. they are very good

on a pump action shotgun, you can add collapsible stock and pistol grips. also lasers, flashlights, heck scopes and picatinny rails if you want. as long as the capacity does not exceed 10 rounds, , your barrel is at least 18 inches, and the overall length is over 26 inches, there isn't much you cant do to a pump.

as stated before; the difference is mostly on semi auto's. it can not have both pistol grip and collapsible stock simeltaneously. seperately they are fine and the capacity must also be within regulations as well. additionally, detachable magazines on a semi automatic shotgun are also prohibited.

Going to the pistol grip completely removes the one good feature that Mossberg pumps have...
              The tang safety.

Builds like this would be more appropriate on an 870 so you can still engage or disengage the safety from the firing position.

if you consider the safety that never works a good feature then by all means use it. but id much rather have something that would be used to control the gun instead of impede its ability to fire. if you follow basic firearms safety rule number 4, you don't have to necessitate the use of one. and in HD circumstances, should look for alternatives

Has yours ever failed? I'm curious why you say it never works. I've put a gazillion rounds (lots of 3" magnums, too) through my M590A1 and the safety has never malfunctioned.

Just curious (and left handed, so I gotta have the tang safety

                    NIce looking mossberg

I'm a huge fan of the mesa Tactical AR adaptor
I put one on my 500 with the sidewinder. It really even up the weight of the sidewinder.

I change my saftey to the cavalry arms saftey. it makes it stick out enough on either side so you can use your thumb to engage or dissengage the saftey while still leaving your hand on the grip.

I really like the side saddle. If mine didn't use mags I'd use the same side saddle.

                    Looks great

yeah, unfortunately it stated failing recently. right in the middle of a magazine it would just switch on. it's a relatively common problem with the non metal mossberg tang safeties.
