Thanks to everyone for the recent insights on the various makes and models for SD/HD. It is appreciated. I drossed the Mossberg 590A1. It's the Parkerized 9 shot w/o heat shield. Bayonet lug. I'll take a few pictures in 10 days.

ps. Next shogun purchase will be for a Semi Auto if I can find one that I like. No brand myopia from me. I'll go with whatever suits my purposes.

I went with the 500 Security, Cruiser / Persuader 8 Shot and still love it. They didnt have a 590 in stock. Congrats and good choice.

I just picked up a 590a1 "us service model" from DAS in san diego few days ago. Added a 12" hogue lop stock. This thing is sweet!

I think they had several. They had alot of black shotguns on the wall as well, including saigas.

The short LOP stock is great. It really makes the fit of the shotgun perfect for me.

Thanks again to all. Benelli Boy, I got it at Turners and had to help them hunt for it. It's technically listed as a 590 but we know what the item is listed by Mossberg. Dattebayo, I'm looking at the Hogue LOP as well. I'll snap some shots for you Calguners. Anyone run a Bayonet ? I'm looking for an.M4 bayo, now.

It is made by Specter Gear. I love it as it also works double as a sling mount that works with the Specter Gear slings

Congrats, I have one myself! The 590A1 is one giant meat-stick, I hope you're of a sturdy build, she's a doozy. The heft helps with recoil IMO. I'm running an Ontario M9 bayonet on it, sharpened by Ross Cutlery Service.

@Hambsc: Yeah, I figured. I've got a neck like a Linebacker. I heard she doesn't kick as much as a 91/30 and those are cake for me. So, I'm thinking she's gonna be a LOT of fun!

How do you like the Ontario M9? Where is Ross Cutlery Svc?

@Dattebayo: Do you know of any more options for reduced LOP stocks? The SpeedFeed would be great on an Aftermarket LOP! yea..
