Need help with a Surefire shotgun light

I bought a used Surefire 636FA for my Winchester 1300 Defender. WHen I put the 2 3V batterys inside, I can hear them sliding back and forth if I tip the foreend. Am I missing something like a spacer? I looked on surefires's website and couldn't find anything. It didn't come with any manuals or anything. Thanks.

Just to be sure, you are useing 123 batterys in it right?

No, just regual 3 volts..... do I have to order thos batterys from surefire?

You can buy these at photo places, walmart, target etc. They can be Duracell, Energizer, Sanyo and any brands as long as they are CR123 specification, it's like AA or AAA, industry standard. About $6 each. But check out Turners they have twin pack of Surefire brand for better price.

You can buy them directly from Surefire for less than $2 each. I don't know what shipping comes to, but it's definitely cheaper than getting them at the store:

I used to buy mine from Botach, who have great sales on them, but they screwed up an order, like they so often do, and I don't go there any more.

Be cautious about ultra-cheap batteries, even if they're labeled with name brands, as there are lots of counterfeits, and lithium batteries have been implicated in flashlight explosions:
