    Mossberg 500 magazine sticking

the circular piece where you insert the shells into the tube gets stuck and won't budge...happens on the last shell in mag, like the plunger comes out too far and gets crooked on the mag tube and won't go back in

I had to take a nylon dowel and hit it with a rubber hammer to break it loose

happened twice now after around 200 shells through it

anyone else have this problem and is there anyway to shorten the stroke just a tad

Make sure that tube does not have a dent on it from possibly dropping or hitting it.
If all good inspect plunger for gouges or scrapes from possible debris such as sand or dirt.

The tube might need cleaned, debris can cause a bind, especially at the constriction of the mag tube.

Clean the mag tube out with a bore swab and replace the crappy sheet metal follower with an S&J delrin follower http://www.kingarmory.com/sj_hardwar..._follower.html

My new 500 did the same thing at about the 24th shell. Disassembled and didn't find anything wrong with it. I plan to replace the follower.
