Just picked up a Mossberg 500 combo and was wondering what you guys use for a case. I would like to keep both barrels in the same case and Big 5 has one of those plastic cases but it seems a bit larger than it needs to be to hold the gun. Also, do you guys prefer soft or hard-ish cases.

shotgun case
I also have the 500 combo and ive got a soft case made by 5.11. It is meant to hold 2 long guns, so I use it to hold my spare barrel in with the shotgun. It has pouches and MOLLE style construction that lets you add more stuff if you wanted too. I like it so far. Its long and fits my 308 as well. I was going to go with a hard case...but those are so much more $$$$!
Im happy thus far with the soft case though. Just my 2 cents. -
couple of options
The Voodoo Tacticle bags are pretty good for that. The link below is just to show you the brand you can probably get em cheaper elsewhere. I think I paid a little more than $50 for mine a couple of years ago. You could always go with a Plano case. The other link I'll put is for a company that makes some nice cases some are fairly cheap. Nice choice for a shotgun btw. very good value for the price.

I have a nylon case I got for my Mossberg 500 combo that has a pouch on the outside to hold the extra barrel. It was well under $50 too and has held up.
I'll try to figure to find it online and get back to you.Comment
