Rifled shotgun barrel and Buckshot use question

Is ok or not advisable to use buckshot in a 12ga rifled shotgun barrel? I've only used smooth bore barrels for buckshot AND slugs with sabots in the past. I'm looking at a combo that comes with a 28in BBL with chokes and a 24 in rifled bbl.

Not recomended- lotsa lead in the grooves. I have heard it also changes the patterning in buck and spreads it out. Makes sense.

Funny read. They say, "yes, but..."

And unless you're really fond of scrubbing and scrubbing and scrubbing some more (more than likely), the only thing you don't want to do is shoot rifled lead slugs out of a rifled shotgun bore.

Generally, yes: Sabots thru rifled bores -and- Rifled slugs through smooth bores are fine.

Buck through a rifled bore will only spread the buck (and more than likely with increased lead fouling in the rifling)
