F that dude, a 9000 loads ridiculously fast, all the hydraulic does is double cost and cause you to screw up more. I had the AutoMate, and sold it

Cheapest way is with the Lee Slug mold and depending on if you know where you can get wheel weights or not.

At that, it shouldn't be more than 26 cents odd a shot.
Always wondered how well this would work. Would the lightened powder charge in most of these bulk pack deals produce a similar to "low recoil" slug?

My friend who taught me to reload has a progressive with the cylinder, maybe its just the cool factor of using the foot pedal instead of the crank!

I have a source of free wheel weights. I literally have tons of it that I paid $0 for.

When I am remanufacturing shells, I do my best to have the weight remain as close as factory as possible, but it is safe to load the shells with a load that is under the factory load. If you reduce weight, felt recoil will be reduced through the laws of physics.

You barrel will remain completely in perfect condition as well as the shotcup protects the slug from ever contacting the barrel.

It is, in my opinion. It's cool, but the issue with it, for me, is that you get a twitchy leg and start screwing things up

              MEC 600 for 12 ga
              MEC 650 for 16 ga
Old MEC 650 for 20 ga

As has been said many times before.
If you buy value packs reloading works out about the same. If you want custom loads reload. 12 ga is the least cost effective reload.

                Only 410 on a MEC 9000

12 and 20 still not worth the effort, time and cost for me. Things may change though
