I am trying to put my gun back together, but I can't seem to get the elevator to function properly. It just flops around, not catching anything or functioning properly. Any suggestions?

Try googling Stevens 320 reassembly or assembly and see if someone has a step by step video."Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

I've done the online video thing. All they show is putting the trigger group back in and the gun functions. When I put my trigger group back in the elevator flops loosely.Comment

Take the trigger group out again, see if it flops around loosely. The carrier which takes the shell and lifts it for the bolt to push foward into the chamber has a spring and plunger within the trigger group frame. The spring and plunger impinge upon the carrier dog leg which is attach to the carrier. Is your spring weak or missing?Comment
