I am looking at the unico also. If it were me I would go with the unico over the 391 just due to being able to shoot 3.5" shells. What ever you pick I am sure you will not be disappointed. Post pics when you get it! damn that is a tough choice lol!Comment

The teknys is a very attractive gun but I would go with the A400. Newer technology in the a400. As you can tell from my prior posts, I LOVE BERETTA AUTO'S! However, one of my good friends had the teknys sporting and he had a miserable time with it. We shot in a league together and that thing would not cycle shells at every station. He now shoots an o/u because it never got through a round without a problem.Comment

I have an A400 Xplor Unico, it is a nice gun.
I have been busy with other projects, so I have only shot maybe a few hundred shells through it. I has cycled everything I have fed it from my light 3/4oz Clays loads, to my heaviest Longshot field loads.
I got the 28" and K/O setup mainly because that is the way the gun sat, it was on sale. I likely would not have bought a gun with a setup like the K/O but I have to say, I am kind of becoming a convert, it shoots really light.
I love the way the gun mounts, shoots where I am looking, it may become my favorite gun.Last edited by Bill Steele; 06-04-2013, 11:46 AM.When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."Comment

i have the al391 teknys sporting. frankly, i wanted the gold target and should've waited longer (or searched more). i don't have any problems cycling. but sometimes, the bolt "rides" forward a little slow and doesn't fully close or won't close. i'd have to pull the bolt back. have to drop a few oils. seems to happen regardless if i use winchester or federal (walmart) or estate. not very often or even remote close to occasional. but it does.
i've seen the a400 (xcel) shot by a couple of people in our trap league. frankly, i don't like the color. blue seems to be something akin to beretta but that much blue and light... eh... it is shot by women though (2 of them) but i've only seen 1 guy shoot one too. wish i can try it though.
at last with the 391, you can get a hull catcher so your shells aren't spitting to your neighbor shooter to the left and potentially hitting their very nice o/u or ss. i have one made for T&S specifically for the al391. plug-n-play. i remove it if i'm doing doubles though for obvious reasons.
i'm now thinking of o/u with a gracoil since i'm getting tired of cleaning. LOLLast edited by high_revs; 06-05-2013, 11:25 PM.Comment
