Just bought my first O/U

Well after many days of deliberation and looking at $10,000+ guns I settled on an introductory gun to get used to sporting clays. I bought a Browning 725 Sporting 28" bbls the wood was too gorgeous to pass up!!
Just waiting for it to arrive to my FFL...

I'm like a kid at Christmas.

GREAT FOR YOU! I bought a Browning 725 Sporting 32" barrels with adjustable comb and just LOVE IT! It's so light and smooth! Let me know how you like (love) it. I am suspicious of Browning O/Us in their propensity to start popping open after the first shot (wearing out breach lever). I am very cautious in how I close the gun. Enjoy!

I bought a Browning 425 sporting about 15 years ago and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I think you made a wise purchase.

I have tens of thousands of rounds thru my 525, and it hasn't popped open once.

Keep it lubed and don't SLAM it shut, and you'll be fine.

You can't stop at just one, drunk or otherwise. Luckily, I have only fallen in the Browning trap!

I shot a Browning o/u at an out of state trap event that I didn't bring my own gun to. The gun did pop open if you shot the top barrel first. The owner did tell me he was sending it to Browning to be rebuilt but that gun had over 250,000 rounds through it.

I have a ton of rounds through two Citori's and have not had that issue.

You can't go wrong with a Browning O/U. Enjoy!!!
