So, I got a Vepr 12 and a winchoke adapter from AK builder. I already have a set of Remchokes, and I know the diameter and thread is the same for winchokes and remchokes. Turns out with the Saiga choke adapter, there is enough slop that remchokes will fit tight against the barrel and engage all of the thread! Only thing off is Remchokes are about 1/2" longer so they stick out by that much more.

I'm in the IE area. I just went to Raahauge's this afternoon and shot a round of clays. The gun didn't blow up with using the wrong chokes and both of my chokes worked and they patterned pretty well too. I don't get all that BS about how you cant use tactical shottys for clay shooting since I had no problems hitting any target under 25 yards with a skeet choke, and no problems hitting the far targets with the full choke. The short barrel seems to be quicker pointing for short range double coming from opposite directions.If you need help with any stragglers, call a friend, because it's likely that they have a gun.
