maxus, sx3, or franchi shotgun for duck hunting?

I am torn between these three guns. What's is the most reliable and all around gun? Anyone?

Just going to throw this out there, but the Maxus and the X3 are essentially the same gun with a different badge. Sure, the Maxus has the magazine cutoff, and the X3 probably has some other features that I don't know about, but operationally, they're pretty much the same. They're also the same design as the FN SLP, which is popular amongst competition shooters.

Don't know much about the Franchi.

Of the three shotguns you mentioned, the SX3 and Maxus will have less felt recoil as they are gas operated. Find a store that stocks all three, shoulder them and pick the one that feels best to you.

If you like gas SGs, check out the Beretta A400, especially soft in the A400 Xtreme models

Ive got 3 years of heavy, hard use on my Maxus, no complaints. That being said I wouldnt hesitate to buy an SX3 either. Both are light and fast.

I have a Beretta A400 Xtrema Max4 with Kickoff, and it's been the best shooting autoloader I've ever had. It really takes the thump out of 3" shells and trap loads kick more on a 20 gauge! About $1650 on the net maybe a little less @ Bolsa.

I had the same scenario a few years ago. E only problem I had with the sx3 was the grip radius was too large. It is made with a large radius for wearing thick gloves so when I grabbed the gun, the trigger was too far away. I bought the Maxus and have no regrets. Find a store that has them all and get the one that fits you. The sx3 did not work for me but it is a great gun.

a Franchi is for sale in the classifieds here, why not ask the seller if he would let you test his? win/win, he might sell & you might get what you want.

+1 for the Maxus. I've had mine for a few years and have had zero problems with it. The recoil is very light and it has cycled everything I've thrown at it.

Not sure the X3 has the speed load function of the Maxus either.. I'd go with Maxus..
