  • Duck plug for Remington 1100

    I need to make a duck plug for a Remington 1100 and want ask if anyone has any advice as to length and diameter of the wooden doweling?

    You don't need anything exotic, try a 5/16 or 2/8" wooden dowel. Remove the magazine cap and spring but leave the follower. Load 2 in the chamber & use 3" shells if you gun will shoot them. Measure from the top of the magazine to the follower & subtract one inch. Unload the gun. Cut the dowel to length & round the ends. Replace the spring & drop your duck plug down the magazine. Replace the magazine cap & you're done.

    You can also pick up a snap-to-length plastic plug at most gunshops.
