Get a mossberg 500 pump (flame on)
I shoot 23/24 all day with my $300 big 5 mossberg 500 pump with a 28" field barrel
I shoot as well with my mossberg if not better than I do with my Beretta Silver pigeon....I'm the limiting factor to shooting better, not the gun....
Are the expensive shotguns nicer? Yes...but you can't go wrong with a good pump as a first gun. They're cheap, versatile, and durable. You outgrow it for trap/skeet etc you can turn it into a home defense shotgun with a 18" barrel. I've got about 15k rounds through mine and it still runs like a top
