This is Adrian. He's been shooting guns since he was a little kid:
In that photo he is shooting 12 gauge Speer Lawman slugs from a Keltec KSG at gallon water jugs on a berm 90 yards away. And hitting them. He cleaned off the berm. He's going to have to start bringing his own water jugs.
I was very impressed with Adrian's shooting as well as the performance of the KSG. The rail is the Mesa Tactical SureShell carrier, which is maybe a quarter of an inch taller than the factory rail. We slapped a couple of Magpul BUS sights on the rail and never bothered to zero them. We figured for shooting buck or slugs at 25 yards (the usual range) they should work fine out of the box; we didn't expect them to be zeroed for human-head-sized targets at 90 yards.
We must have put a couple hundred slugs through the KSG on Saturday, and maybe twenty rounds of 00 buck, with a single misfeed (early in the morning, when Adrian was first getting acquainted with the KSG). It's a very reliable platform, as long as you don't short-stroke it. And the more you shoot it the fewer problems you have.
I'm becoming more impressed with this set-up every time I take it out.
