Benelli M4 Choke

Benelli customer service says not to use the choke that came with my new M4 (modifide XXX) to shoot 00 buck or slugs. Can any Benelli M4 owners tell me why? Thanks

I was under the impression that the modified choke is good to go for 00 and slugs...

Maybe call back and speak with someone else.

Shoot both slugs and buck thru mine. Never had a problem.

I have shot buck and slug with the origional choke with no problems.

Up date....I just got off the phone with another Benelli customer service rep and he said Benelli strongly recommends using a Improved Cylinder XXXX choke for 00 buck and slugs. Just thought I'd pass it on.

I've checked Midway and CTD but I cannot find the improved XXXX choke. Is it available online?

Never had a problem with mine.

The Benelli M4 is a dedicated combat shotgun.

Why they would include a choke you cannot shot slugs or 00 from the get-go is beyond me.

The guy wasn't very friendly I can't remember his answers.(I can't remember what I had for breakfast (: ) but I do remember him saying do whatever you want but Benelli recommends the Improved Cylinder for 00 Buck and slugs. Everyone with an M4 should give them a call and ask the same question. Maybe we'll get a free Improved Cylinder out of asking the question. Wishful thinking.

Check with Brownells.... I think the item # is 155-812-006WB. MAKE SURE it's for the Benelli M4 Call to make sure 1-800-741-0015. Around $20.00.
