    Best safety for mossberg 930?

Title says it all. The safety on my mossberg 930 is pretty stiff and would like to have a better option? I want to have a nice click for a safety but not feel like a really have to push it to engage and disengage.

    Suggestions?

I have the ETA one on my Blackwater and luv it. The factory safety felt so stiff and was to small for me. Even the wife likes the ETA Safety better.

Onyx, that's the info I need, I'll get the eta per both suggestions. Onyx that's exactly how I feel the stock safety is, way too stiff.

Update, was looking at the ETA safety per suggestions and it was sold out most places so I decided to try modifying the stock safety. My biggest complaint was that you REALLY Have to push the safety. I going to go to shotgun training and didn't want to have to click the thing 500 times because my thumb would be raw not to mention if I wanted to be on safe it may not go and vice versa....

So with a search on YouTube and seeing how easy it is to disassemble I decided to tackle the job.

Took the safety off, do not lose the parts, rounded the detent for the ball slightly with a drill bit, just spinning the bit in my hand to take off the sharp edges. Then I sanded with 2000 grit sandpaper. Then polished the entire surface and holes with mothers polish and a dremel. Then I cut off one coil from the spring. Reassembled and much better, but not perfect. Took it apart and cut off another half a coil. Put Loctite on screw and reassembled and wallah, perfect!!!!

Now I have a much lighter push/pull for safety with still a positive click. MUCH easier to engage a disengage safety. Hope this helps others. Wish I would have taken pictures but it was just a small Sunday project. Biggest change was cutting the coils off the safety spring. And best of all... Free

I use this one from Brownell's. I like the high ridge and you can mount it either end to the rear so the ridge is closer or farther from your thumb.
