    Sporting clays?

Alright, I don't even have a shotgun yet as I have just purchased a handgun and can't get another for a month (BS). I am curious if anyone knows of a place that does sporting clays in the central coast area. About 20 years ago I worked just off of NAS Miramar where trap, skeet and sc's were thrown. Anywhere around here have a similar setup?
    Any info is greatly appreciated.

The 1 per 30 days rule only applies to handguns. The only limit to long gun purchases is $

Yep, the 1 per 30 day wait period is for new and consigned handgun purchases. Private Party Transfer (PPT) of handguns are exempt from this 30 day wait.

There is no limit to long gun purchases (rifles and shotguns).

Now go dros that shotgun and have fun.

I don't know about sporting clays in Central California, but all I can say is that sporting clays are mighty addicting.

                    Panoche Hills

Purchase your scatter gun, buy some clays and a cheap thrower. Pack a lunch and bring water. Take a nice drive to Panoche Hills (BLM land) just outside of Mercy Hot Springs. Sign in at the gate, drive up the hill about 4 miles to just before the gate (it will be locked this time of year) and there is a spot to the left where you can shoot until you run out of ammo, clays or time and all for free.

                    Enjoy!
