    Looking for a Semi-Auto

Looking for a Semi-Auto. The purpose of this shotgun is for SHTF type scenario and just to have a semi-auto in the stable and shooting fun. But with that said, it should be just as reliable if I wanted/needed it for a home defense situation. Something that will cycle whatever it's fed.

For true home defense type scenario I have Remington 870 Police Magnum.

With that said, I would love a Benelli M4. But looking at others just because of the price. Others I'm considering are the Remington VersaMax, Remington 11-87P, and Mossberg 930spx. Others that I should have on the list?

Which of the following would best fit my needs? If I can save some cash getting one over the other with little sacrifice of reliability, that would be great. Or should I just save up for the M4?

    Thanks.

Do I really have to say it? Mossberg 930SPX with a white light and side saddle of course.
Good price point, mine has been ultra reliable and excellent customer service if it isn't. With the money you save not buying a VersaMax you can afford ammo and training.

Out of those you listed, the Mossberg would be the cheapest. I think Turners had them on sale for $699.

benelli M2. use it at the sporting clays range all the time with the cheapest ammo i can find and it has never had a hang-up. Even when the person selling the ammo says not to buy XXXX because it wont cycle a semi auto. Bottom line, It eats everything.

IMO, Benelli M2 for SHTF. It's lighter than the M4 and performs very well. However, if you want high end then you won't find much better than the M4. It's worth the wait if you can save up. Good luck!

I got my mossberg 930 spx at the gun show 2 weeks ago for 649$ from ammo bros..new..(non pistol grip) They had plenty in stock of both versions.

There was well used ones with 1k + rounds down the pipe for 750$ and up in the classifieds here lol. I chose to buy new for less.

Save up for the M4. No need to ever buy another one. You deserve the best. Good Luck.
