    BENELLI M4 California legality

I am trying to buy a brand new in the box Benelli M4 from South Carolina FFL holder and will be ship to my FFL holder in San Jose, CA but the other guy from South California think it may not be legal to sell and ship to California.

Please confirm if it is perfectly legal or is there any other version of Benelli M4 for California?

    Tnx,
    Troy

Plenty of M4 Benelli owners in California.

The stock M4 is 100% legal in California.

Illegal if you put the skeletal stock or 14.5 in barrel; and if you switch out the magazine tube for an after market you will need to meet 922 compliance by having a minimum of 3(?) parts American made.

I have a bunch of FFT stuff on mine to meet compliance.

If its a fixed stock model with or without pistol grip you should be fine.

You can have 1 evil feature on a semiautomatic shotgun. There's a flowchart on the Wiki.

Yes, I know. OP said, "brand new in box" which implies it has a factory stock. AFAIK, Benelli only makes:

collapsible stock with pistol grip = 2 evil features (not legal in CA) model # M1014 (no longer made I believe)
fixed stock with pistol grip = 1 evil feature (CA legal) model # 11703
fixed stock no pistol grip = 1 evil feature (CA legal) model # 11707

That's not to say that you can't get the collapsible one with pistol grip, but the stock would have to be pinned.

Saw on GB the other month that there was an American Flag M1014 with a non-adjustable skeletonized stock located in California. It didn't have a full magazine capacity.

But yes, Benelli M4s are legal here.
