Do you combat reload from the top or bottom?

I find its easier for me to reload from the top than reach underneath and a cup a shell from the bottom.

    What works for you guys?

I go from the bottom because the bolt release button is right there after I put it in. If I went top, it wouldn't work as well.

Bottom with a semi-auto.... easier to press the bolt release right there.

Top with a pump.... easier to send the bolt home by sweeping the forend forward with my left hand when coming over the top.

Only ever ran pumps and always from the top. Don't know why just but it just doesn't feel right from the bottom.
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

I reload my pump from a side saddle. I hold the weapon with the shotgun upside down and the buttstock resting on my shoulder. My left hand is on the barrel under the forend. I strip and load shells from the side saddle with my right hand.

I also find it easier to toss them in over the top with my pump or semi auto. But fumble and the round is going on the ground.

In the defensive shotgun classes I go to the instructor stresses going around the bottom because you are less likely to drop a shell and your strong hand will be under the gun after putting the round in the chamber.

From under for a few reasons.

                      It feels natural.
I'm not putting my hand through my sight line.
I use a pump, so I just bring my hand forward to chamber.
No need to rotate your hand.
