Q: is 12 Ga. shotshell getting 'easier' to find?

Not really I just purchased two boxes of Independence 2 3/4 #8 25 count for little over $8.

I still have some Federal 12g 100 packs I got for $18.88 from Walmart. That was a good deal, even with tax. I did a double take and cleaned out an endcap display. This was back in 2007 or 2008.

Yea my gun store has those too...

But for $30 to $50 a box they will probably stay there.

Only thing I saw on the shelf that I figured would be gone was the SXT stuff or what ever slug/buck from Winchester..

I almost got a box but my HD wouldn't be able to use that and for $28 a box I'd rather just shoot my winchester standard slugs I bought for $8

Somebody needs to put together a group buy. I know a supplier that has a 25 case minimum, but ammo is only 60.05 a case with free shipping.

Depending on who makes it, quality ect I may be in for 5 or so cases.

If it shoots anything like the Wally bulk Federal value pack, I'm game for 5 cases. Like someone mentioned, what's the brand and has anybody shot this ammo before? I don't want to be stuck w 5x 250 shells that I'm not happy with.

Otherwise, sounds like a good deal.

Ammo Brothers here in SoCal has had well stocked shelves in both 12g and 20g. When i checked yesterday there was less 12g to be had. I shoot 20g so i have had very little problem in finding ammo at Walmart.

Depends on if you're looking for 00 or if you're looking for hunting ammo. Hunting guns and ammo are still plentiful at pre-ban prices... Heck I put a Franchi Affinity in Max4HD on layaway today for $820. Anything that looks tactical or any ammo LEOs or the military uses is either high prices or hard to find.
