    Repair or replace Mossberg 590?

I have a 590 SP with FTE and FT Feed issues.

Big5 says I can bring it in and they will give me a new one but I have to do 10 day waiting again. They will pay fee's.

Does anyone know about this? I guess I can double check tomorrow, but is it a refurbished gun that is 'new' maybe? What do they do with mine?

There is play in the fore grip where you can rotate it along the barrel a little. If you torque it one way, the gun may or may not eject the cartridge, but it WILL NOT pull a new one from the tube. If you torque it the other way, it will eject and feed perfectly. So far at least. Anywhere in the middle is 90% failure to pull from mag tube.

Part of me is worried DOJ will delay it for 3 months or something.

Take it back, wait your 10days and get the new gun. You can ask, but pretty sure they wil give you a NIB gun and RTV the defective one to the maker.

Refirb or not if it works it works. As long as its not all beat to hell and shows heavy wear swap it.. Just inspect before you swap it out.

Guns are tools.. Made for war time use.. They are meant to take 100,000 rounds and then be touched up and all over again and get beat to hell..

replace it, it is a shorter wait than sending it to mossberg for them to repair it.

Wow... This is the kind of stuff that pisses me off.

So I go into the Big5 where I bought it and told her that the gun was malfunctioning and I would like it replaced. She asked me how I knew it was malfunctioning and I told her I went to the range and tried to shoot it and it wouldn't cycle.

She got this smug grin on her face like she just uncovered the year's mystery.

She says "This is a home security shotgun, it's not meant for the range."

I said that doesn't make sense and she said "You were shooting the clay pigeons and all that. That's meant for those 20" barrel shotguns, not a home security shotgun."

I told her I was shooting paper targets which is true, but all of it is completely irrelevant.
I told her it doesn't matter where I am, the gun is not cycling, even at HOME.

She said, "Well it's still not a range gun, it's a home security gun." ... I was just shaking my head.

Then she asked me for my receipt. And here is where it, I'll admit, becomes my fault. I forgot it! And I live 600 miles away, here on other business. I told her that it was my fault, but they have my DL copied and everything to prove it's me.
She said "Yes, but that is our paperwork."

So this woman had a problem with from the get go, I don't know why. I told her then I would have to return in a few weeks with the receipt, that it was unfortunate we couldn't continue even though they have the paperwork within feet of her, showing it was obvious I purchased the gun.
She then told me to talk to the manager tomorrow morning.

Don't really care about the receipt. I can get it and finish this later. It's just an annoying event that I failed to avoid.
The fact that she blames this on me is ridiculous and that she says because I might have been shooting pigeons as opposed to paper or human intruders, it would have an effect on how properly the firearm should cycle.

Another saleswoman came up and mentioned that it may not function properly until it's broken in.
