Remington 1100 Barrel Q&A

I have a Remington 1100 that I was looking to sell to get a new 12ga for 3 gun.... then I saw the 1100 Tac 4..... So, if I get the 22" barrel, will it fit on my 1100 (from the 90's) that's currently set up with a 28" bird gun???

Im assuming that an 1100 is an 1100.....
