    Shotgun question

A family friend called me today about a shotgun he is selling and I don't know much about it other then its a Weatherby Orion 2 12g with only 20 rounds through it and he purchased it back in the B&B gun shop days. His asking for $1500.

Anyone have any experience with this shotgun? Is it a good shotgun? Is it worth that price?

Weatherby Orion shotguns sell on the auction sites in the $700-1200 range depending on the condition.

If it's made in Japan, then it's made by SKB.

If it's made in Italy, then it's made by Fausti.

Judging from the receiver, that's an SKB gun - by far and large, while not perfect, SKBs are quality guns for the money.

      Price would depend on condition/use/grade/etc...

It's a grade II just judging by the lack of gold on the engraving. Perhaps $1100-1200, but that's as high as I'd go.

I passed on it, I told him if he lets it go for under $1,000 to let me know. Maybe someone here might be interested in it.
