No direct experience, but at the last skeet clinic, my wife ended up borrowing another participant's 20ga montefeltro and fell in love with it. Good stuff.

Great gun. Lots of fun. Uber reliable.

            +1 to Obiwan's comment -

I've had one for about a year and a half (LH model) - it's had approx. 3600 rounds thru it and counting (though haven't been using it much). I use it mainly for sporting clays and some trap.

              Montefeltro

Bought one a month ago as an upgrade from my old Wingmaster and rentals at the range. Use it for trap and skeet, and love it.

Was thinking about getting a more expensive "top of the line" shotgun, but this is great for what I use it for. Was woried about recoil with the inerta system vs gas, but the inerta action stays cleaner and I don't really notice the difference.

I've got the Monte Ultra Light in 28ga...oh my, what a beautiful shotgun. And the thing only weighs 5 pounds. Very Cool.

HK LH Monte here. I love it. It's sort of like a refined 1100 (once you field strip it you'll see what I'm talking about). It is super-light, points really well, and cycles very, very smoothly. I own several 1100s in 12 and 20, a Browning BPS and an Ithaca 37, and this is hands-down my favorite of the bunch. Don't tell my 1100 LH Trap that though. She'll be jealous.

I have one in 20ga. Very sweet. Can carry all day hunting quail. Points and shoots nice. Very reliable.
