My son has a Mossy 500 with the pistol grip-


Can he use any other barrel with this shotty? Specifically a rifled barrel for slugs?

He wants change to a full length synthetic stock, and if possible the slug barrel.

Yes, there are a host of barrels including slugs. Mossberg 500 lugs are common with other mossberg recievers as well as mavericks...

There is even a black powder barrel now that fits.

AFAIK, not with that current mag tube. Swap it out for the five round tube, and you're golden for just about any kind of barrel out there.
