    Mossberg 930 JM Pro

So 3 weeks ago I put a deposit at Turner's in FV for a 930 JM Pro 22". Over the weekend, a buddy of mine said Ammo Bros had one in stock but $200 over the standard price. I have also noticed a handful of new JM Pro posted for sale on gunbroker over the weekend. I figured the distributors must have been shipping them out so I'll stop by Turners on my way home from work today. They didn't have a 22" in stock but they got a shipment of 24" at the warehouse, so I decided on the 24" JM Pro instead. Can't wait to pick it up in 10 long days. Just thought I give a heads up for anybody that's been looking to pick up a JM Pro at a decent price: $735 OTD.

I have the 22" and would consider trading barrels and mag tubes. Pm me if interested

I went in today and put one in jail! My credit card is very upset with y'all for bring this to my attention lmao! The sales person told me she suspected it would go on sale and if it did, they would honor that sale price for this purchase!

Is the barrel too long to be considered 'tactical' or 'tacticool'? Mossberg classifies it as tactical.

With 22" you can still get away with it. But with 24" or longer, you're into the "hunting/trap/skeet" barrel lengths. Think about using a shotgun with a barrel that long inside your house, and you'll have a better idea (IMO, anything longer than 18.5" for home is pretty long).

I'm not saying that's neither good or bad and, and for most people it may not matter. But for me personally, the 2" does make a considerable difference if you want to start wielding it around like on a defensive shotgun course (which is different from running between stages in 3-gun). Again, that's for me.

That being said, I'm considering buying the 930 SPX JM tomorrow just because it's a cool & neat shotgun to play with

EDIT: Found these pics for comparison

It's set up for 3 gun competition, and comes with several cool options that don't come on the standard or SPX version- chromed piston assembly, Nordic Components mag tube extension (instead of the problematic, poor fitting Choate extension on the SPX), Nordic barrel clamp, and mag port relieved for easier loading. This is a great price, and these have been hard to find recently. I've seen many paying around a grand for these on-line during the panic. If I hadn't bought the SPX at the end of last year, I'd pick up one of these. Plus, you could always buy an 18" barrel and appropriate sights for HD, later. Also I bet you could get a pretty penny for that JM vent rib non-ported barrel currently, as I don't think Mossberg sells that barrel separately right now, and many, included me, would like to have one!

Cricket31, the sale rep I dealt with told me she had a feeling it would go on sale soon. If it did anytime during the DROS period, they would honor that price. Let me know what happens as I was thinking of stopping by tomorrow as well for the same reason lol.

I really want a 930 SPX but a reasonably priced and available 930 JM Pro is very tempting. Two different primary uses (defense vs hunting/skeet) I know.

Finally had a chance to stop by today to tell them that I bought my JM Pro 2 days before the sale price... and sure enough they adjusted the price w/o a hassle.
