Anyone have the knoxx compstock?

I was looking at it over the weekend, and although I don't even have my gun yet, i'm thinking that recoil reduction can never be a bad thing if it actually works.


I was leaning more toward a pistol grip style stock, but I think that this might be better.

Any thoughts or input on it? I can get one on amazon for ~ 80 bucks

Had the Knoxx on my 870 and hated it. It functioned perfectly but felt way too spongy for me. I went to the Magpul SGA and love it. Pistol grips are for pistols

They do reduce recoil but if you're not careful you can get cheek slap.

I have them on my 2 mossbergs and I like them. Mine are the Blackhawk spec ops II (K07200-C). Both my shotguns started off as pistol grip only an I immediately changed out to these knoxx stocks. I would do it again.

I've heard others complain about the cheek slap but my cheek is further back on the stock when I shoot so I don't get hit by the "receiver".

Guess you don't have any ARs then. And you sure you're not confusing the compstock with the specops?

AR's are for people who aren't smart enough to shoot an M1A. And i'm sure I posted a correction regarding the comp stock / specops.

I bought the compstock for my mossberg 500. I took it off after it kept coming loose. I'd be at the range and 30 rounds in it would start to fall apart from the receiver. It does reduce the felt recoil but I regret buying it.

It's also something that doesn't seem to be that durable. It's hollowed out cheap plastic and the walls of it are very thin.

I run a Mesa Tactical Recoil Stock Kit on an 870P. I like it a lot.

I ran my CompStock on a 590A1 and hated the cheek slap -- I always hold it low and tight. Went back to stock with just a LimbSaver added.

My bad, didn't catch your correction. But since you asked, yes, a happy face would be awesome, as long as it's a pony.

When I was deciding what stock to go with I looked at the comp-stock. Decided against it because I didn't like the size of it.
