    Mossberg 8 shot 20 gauge....

Mossberg 54300. Looks like my next shotgun. Anyone have/seen/shot one?

Looks weird with the youth stock (I'm guessing it is marketed for women?)
If it had a full length stock I would be interested.

      I love my mossberg

I have used a variety of shotgun with different sights

I really like and prefer the bead sight.

As I don't hunt with slugs, I find that I do not like rifle sights on a shotgun

I can keep slugs on target out to 100 yards with a bead and when using a shot timer, I find that I do not gain speed or much accuracy with rifle sights

What will the gun be used for???
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
      (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

To be used for HD. Looks light (6 lbs.) and maneuverable.

Supposedly the 54300 has a 13" LOP which is right in the ballpark for me.

I'd probably use #2 or #3 buckshot which is avail. in 20 gauge.

Are you going to add accessories? Definitely you can change stock, add a rail, and forend gri. Awesome firearm.

I've decided I'm definitely going to get one.
Now I just need to find one in California

I want to keep it light and quick, geared for close, inside the house, range.

I will add a rail for a flashlight. And a 4 round sidesaddle. Haven't been able to find a higher capacity sidesaddle for 20 gauge yet.

Of course haven't been able to find a 54300 in existence!!! If anyone comes across one, please let me know.
