Benelli M4 flashlight mount

gents,

just got my M4 super 90, wondering what people think is the best way to mount a light on it.

i love the stock handguard, so changing that out would kind of suck (although it would give me a +1 US part if i go for a full magazine.)

ideas? what works well for you?

Looks like it's made in the USA as well. I own a CDM for my 870, and even ran one on my M4 for a time.They are great products. The biggest difference here is the custom setup for the M4, where it doesn't interfere with the disassembley of the M4 which was built to be taken down without tools.

Mounting lights on the Benelli M4 has been a challenge, this seems to address all the issues. QD sling, light in nice and tight, rail for accessories, no bulk, and does not prevent disassembly.

I toyed around with that very same question. That AVA mount looks pretty slick but pricey.
I ended up going with the surefire rail system. It seems pretty light, not too much heavier than the stock handguards (which I do wish there was a way to keep them). I added a magpul VFG and the surefire light. I shoot right handed so I can actuate the rocker switch with my left hand thumb, it also has a nice feature where you just push forward on the switch for a momentary "on" feature.
Only problem with that surefire hand guard is that the rubber part that contacts the barrel makes anything on back of the side rails to be a "snug" fit.
I have yet to shoot it in this configuration, but I am hoping the VFG will add a bit more recoil control.

Lights are death.....NVG and quiet movement is life. Just sayin'

In an ideal world I would be able to put on my NVG's, my level IV body armor, don my belt with shell carriers and set up a nice comfy seat behind my hardened steel door. I would think that IF you are able to grab a shotgun for a defensive situation, you are gonna grab IT and only what is attached to IT.
The nice thing about the light is that the spread is going to be kinda sorta close to being almost representative of your spread, sorta, maybe.
