UTS-15 - OK in CA? - DELETE THIS THREAD

Is the UTS pump 12 ga. OK in CA? I followed the Shotgun Ban ID Flowchart, and it finishes OK by my reading. However I read some opinions that the dual magazine tubes may render it prohibited. Thoughts?

It's not ok anywhere, I recommend some youtube views of people attempting to use it before dropping the money(general consensus is it should be renamed the POS-15, one notable quote was "this is the best gun Hasbro ever made")

Legal, probably, saw one at Ammo Brothers last time I was there.
Yes, I am an electrical engineer.

In order for it to be CA compliant, there is supposed to be a selector switch in the center behind the magazine tubes that selects feeding from one tube to the other. Basically after one magazine is emptied, you have to manually switch the selector to begin feeding from the 2nd magazine. This eliminates the continuous auto-feeding of 14rds from both magazines.

Not so. Nutnfancy didn't like it, but that problem has been solved with current production. Many prefer the UTS 15 over the KSG. Although Hickok45 favors the KSG:

Here's Hickok45's UTS 15 review (he liked it):

And yes, the UTS 15 is fine for CA, even with it's middle position alternating tube setting.

That was on top of my list until the selector switch fell off my friend's UTAS and he has had trouble fixing it. It would be sweet to not have the selector switch and be CA legal but that's not the case. I still would love to have one but until that selector switch is really stable, it is not on the top of my list especially having just ordered a LWRC M6A2..maybe after I get my tax refund...

Does anyone know if it can use the mini buck shotshells??That would bring the count of shells to about 10 on each side.

                      It's a pump, so I suspect they'd work.

Yeah. That's not good. Between NutnFancy's video and FPS Russia's video, it isn't promising.

Regarding the 3rd's misfeed, evidently these bullpup shotguns have a common operator error - short stroking. I suspect that's what happened to #3. From what I understand, it's a fairly common occurance with the Kel Tec KSG as well.

No reason to delete this thread. Yes, the OP had their question answered, but others may have the same question and/or just want to read up on this shotgun.

Space to store all threads is relatively cheap, might as well keep this info where it's easily accessible.
