I'm giving my daughter a Remington 870 20 ga, what paper work has to be done for the transfer? I looked at the DOJ website but did not see anything about shotguns. Thanks in advance.

Since you are gifting to your daughter, I do not believe you need to do any paperwork. I am sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in soon.*********************
WTS:
1. PW 800+ Hydro Multispeed (just the hydraulic unit that also works with Spolar press)
2. PW 800B converted to 800C (12 gauge) with lots of accessories and upgrades

Penal Code 27870 (was 12078 (c) (1))
Section 27545 does not apply to the transfer of a firearm,
other than a handgun, by gift, bequest, intestate succession, or
other means from one individual to another, if both of the following
requirements are satisfied:
(a) The transfer is infrequent, as defined in Section 16730.
(b) The transfer is between members of the same immediate family.
As long as its not a RAW you can gift a long gun to you immediate familymember so daughter or son is GTG no FFL needed B)Last edited by chillincody; 02-16-2013, 9:05 PM.Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...
