remington 870 action bar lock

Is there an extension or some accessory to make the action bar lock more comfortable or easier to use? My finger can get pretty sore after a while of opening the action. thanks

Pull the trigger and you don't need to use the action release.
If you are practicing, get some dummy cartridges to snap against.

In the interim, a little duct tape (or any other type of tape) around the end of your finger works wonders.
