Quick ? regarding "fixed cylinder choke"...

...as many Remington shotguns are described. Does this imply that one cannot install or add a screw on choke?

I presume, if the above is true, then the "Rem Choke" guns are those with choke interchangability?

    Thank you.

That means that is basically has no choke at all. You cannot use choke tubes in it because the barrel is not threaded.

      Thank you Frank!

If you don't mind another: With a 18-20" threaded barrel and a longer/more constricting choke (such as the new Remington Super Turkey), will I be able to do some recreational trap shooting?

      Thanks again!

        Fjold,
        Not Exactly true.

That means that is basically has no choke at all.

Fixed Choke means you have one choke. Full Choke. Modified Choke. Or Improved Cylinder Choke Built into your barrel.
Fixed Means you can NOT change. No choke tubes for a Fixed choke barrel.

        snovvman,
Yes you can shot trap with that.

The title of the post is "Fixed Cylinder Choke". Cylinder choke means that it is wide open there is no choke restriction at all.

          snovvman,

Yes, if you have interchangeable chokes in a short barrel shotgun the screw in chokes will let you shoot better with trap type shooting. Especially if you are shooting further than the 16 yard line.

Longer barrels give you more muzzle weight for a smoother swing and a longer sight plane for more accurate shooting.

            Sorry Frank,
Too early missed the Cylinder part in title.
