    Shotgun Comb Riser

Looking for a helpful suggestion to raising the comb of my O/U without going the $$$ adjustable route. Something better than the foam & masking tape.

Google is your friend, but I remember a company that makes a wrap around foam and plastic insert that does what you're asking. It may be called Wrap-it Comb or Wrap-ed Comb or something like that.

Never tried one, but I see them advertised in shotgun mags like Shotgun Sports.

        All kinds here. http://www.accu-riser.com/categories...-Comb-Raisers/

If you need one that is easily removable for two shooters, my husband bought this for our skeet gun.

I don't expect everything handed to me. Just set it down anywhere. Unknown

I've seen several guys use balsa wood, shaped as desired and finished as close as possible to the original stock and then held on with good two sided tape.

The results were pretty respectable for a fairly small investment in material.

P.S. Two of the guys to use this method did it on their Perazzi's and it worked good and looked pretty okay, especially since it cost only tens of dollars instead of $3000 plus to spring for new wood.

Also, some of those slip on or other velcro type devise's work ok, some don't and some work okay for a while and then don't, right now I cant remember which are the good ones I've seen people use.

If your brave, you can do what I've done in the past and use Bondo wood fliller to get the shape you want (but, you do have to have a real wood stock to start with)
