    SoCal Trap

I just got a 20" HD shotgun. I was wondering if there was anywhere I could try trap out with some friends. We would all be doing this for the first time. Any suggestions as to where would be best to start out?

Oh, and I'm in southern Orange County and head out to Raahauges for SSA often, but have never inquired about shotgun sports there (but plan to this upcoming sunday).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Raahauges and Prado both have bays for shooting clay.

I usually go to Prado to shoot clays.

Call any club before you go and let them know the barrel length of your shotgun. Some clubs have a minimum barrel length.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

Prado is where I go all the time, and they have quite a few trap fields, good for you and friends to shoot. I've only seen sporting clays, 5-stand and maybe also wabble trap at Raahauges but no traditional trap. I believe Prado is also cheaper.

+1 for Prado. Its cheap, fairly clean, generally not too crowded when I go. I only go there to shoot trap, I haven't tried the other shotgun sections.

Alright, I'll have to swing on by Prado when I head out that way for SSA. Thanks for the input.
