Saiga IZ-433 Question

Just out of curiosity if/when these come back in stock at reasonable prices, guy on gunbroker has one listed and claims that unlike Veprs you can remove the magwell on the 433 and use standard mags.

Any truth to that rumor? Google search proved fruitless.

Why remove a magwell? Before you jump on me for that, not saying I would, only curious due to availability of magwell mags and the fact that I have several standard S12 mags already so just thinking ahead

Why would you want to remove the magwell? Also it needs a special tool to remove it. I am going to say maybe, I have a vepr, but you can't tell if the trunion has a notch for rock and lock mags. Also the hold open would not work. Standard Saiga mags have a different rear cut on the top.
