    ATI top folding stock?

im thinking about getting one but iv read alot of bad reviews on it. anyone have it on there shotgun? i was going to put it on my mossberg 500.

and would the side saddle that came on the original collapsible stock (also ATI) screw onto the top folding stock or would i have to buy a whole new saddle?

I would recommend against them. They're built cheap, bulky, uncomfortable to shoot unfolded. They have also have an adapter to mount shells on the folding stock portion.

well its going to be for home defense only so i figured i didnt need a full stock but just in case itd be good to have it there (plus it could hold extra shells). but what i meant with the side saddle was, i have a side saddle that came with my mossberg it has a ATI shotforce stock with the 5 round saddle. i was wondering if i could just swap it over to the top folding stock since they are both ATI? unless i mis-read and thats what you meant by the adapter that comes with it?

Most people hate them, while others like how they look. Sure my shoulder was all bruised up after 30 or so shots of 00 buck but hey...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

In my case, the factory Mossberg stock was just too long for me. I would prefer just the factory Mossberg Cruiser (pistol) grip, but I'm completely satisfied with my 590 persuader w/ATI top folder.

From everything I've read they only look cool. And that's about it
Most people change the top folder to something else because it hurts to shoot. ATI makes some cool ooking stocks, but they are cheap plastic. I just replaced my ATI collapsible stock for a way better quality Mesa Tactical high tube stock kit

I can remember the first time I saw Terminator 2 when I was a kid and that cool looking Remmy 870 with the LE top folder at the end of the movie. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimluu/2044997641/

I vowed that I would own one someday but since they're so hard to find these days, the mossy with ATi top folder will suffice

Yeah, I thought the same thing... LOL

The ATI stuff is OK if your on a tight budget, and they don't add any wieght to the Shotgun. I did like my ATI Stock, but I just decided to change up to a steel AR stock adaptor instead
