    Mossberg 500 problem

Ok so purchased a mossberg 500 pistol grip breacher about a year ago. I have fired about 300 rounds just plinking with it just fine. Then yeterday I got the chance to test the breacher aspect I chambered a round, stuck the breacher tip firmly against the jam, pulled the trigger, it fired and the bolt forced itself open half way ejecting the hull. I am wondering if it is normal for the bolt to force open like this or if I have a problem.
I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six.

I think this is normal in your situation. My 500 sometimes opens part way when I fire full power slugs depending on how the forend is gripped (if shooting from a bench vs holding the shotgun).

It's normal no worries. If I fire slugs from a bench it has enough power to eject itself.
Bounce a ball in Football that's a fumble. Baseball, no bouncing at all. Bounce a ball in Hockey, well that's a mandatory drug test right there...

its safe... imagine that the powder and shot is going to be down and out the barrel by the time the shell is already being pushed back... ull be ok

If the muzzle is up against a door jam all that energy has to go somewhere when you fire it why do you think there are ports on the end to redirect some of those gases

shoot it off a bench or one handed it will do the same thing. (I'm not saying shoot it one handed, I'm just saying it will)

especially if you were breaching a door with a slug instead of using breaching rounds
Everything I say is probably wrong.
