CA legal?

First, my apologies as I know this has been discussed time and time again but I'm still reading conflicting threads.

I'm a CA resident looking to purchase a 12 gauge pump Remington 870 police with a pistol grip, 18" barrel and a Knoxx adjustable stock.

I know I'm fine with the barrel length requirement however I'm looking for answers to the following two questions:

1. Would the Knoxx stock violate the 26" overall length requirement? One post I saw indicated that doesn't apply to pump-action shotguns?
   
2. Does the fact it would have a pistol grip AND an adjustable stock automatically make it illegal?

1. 26" minimum overall length requirement applies to all rifles and shotguns.
With the Knoxx stock fully collapsed, it exceeds the minimum overall length requirements and is CA legal.

2. No.
A pistol grip and a folding/extending stock is only a restricted feature on semi-auto shotguns.
It is CA legal to have a pistol grip and a folding/extending stock on single barrel shotguns, multiple barrel shotguns, bolt-action shotguns, lever-action shotgun and pump-action shotguns.

26 inches applies to everything, as long as the entire rifle or shotgun is over 26 inches you are good...

On PUMP ACTION shotguns you are good to go with an adjustable stock and a pistol grip...

On a side note, go with the 20 inch models as they hold more rounds and you won't ever notice the 2 inches...
