Cheap Bulk 12 gauge slugs, any suggestions?

Hello guys, I've been browsing around for some relatively "inexpensive" 12 gauge slugs. No luck in sight I found a box of 250 rounds at a random site for 147.99 but it was completely sold out. The best bulk buy i could find was from fiocchi

A huge selection of birdshot, buckshot and other loads in-stock today at AmmoToGo.com. Get fast shipping on all 12 gauge ammo for sale now.

Do you guys have any suggestions as where you may find a more affordable option, besides the lee reload option.

That's where i got the quote for .61 cent a slug, 149.99 for 250. Unfortunately they've been out of stock. I can't really produce my own reloads because i live in an apartment with cramped space. I guess I'll have to fork over some money for now for those Fiochhi Slugs :|.

S&B buckshot used to be cheap. Not sure what the situation these days are. It doesn't pattern real well but fine for shooting stuff at the range.

If you have a stove or a boiler plate, you can make your own wax slugs. I got a cheap pot from the thrift store for $3 and a shoe box of used candles for $2.

I've been considering the wax slugs, just a bit weary though.

I watched the youtube videos on wax slugs and have made a few hundred. They are fun to shoot and easy to make. Head my warning, DO NOT make them if you dont know what you are doing, like me! This s

^ the link above shows a wax slug exploding in the chamber of this gentlemen shotgun, injuring him and destroying the firearm in the process.

I've seen a few mishaps through forums, as a novice at crafting rounds I feel a bit uneasy as this could happen to me if i'm not careful.

bought mine on sgammo.com. They don't seem to have any at the moment. Think i payed just under 100 bucks shipped for 250.

hey baker, you dont list where your located, i bought 6 dozen of the lee slug's that a guy in orange county was selling because he cast to many.

he was selling them 13 slugs for 6.00.

I just cut open the top of wally mart bird shot, emptied it out and pushed in the lee slug after reaming it per this video. it looked just like a normal roll crimped slug

Watch this youtube video, i made a couple dozen for a local shoot I go to.

They worked good, only thing, check that when you ream them, you dont mushroom the tip's of the hull, or it might stick on a semi auto, after watching the video, i couldnt find my 10mm socket and used a peice of plastic and i ended up making them a little to wide.

                              pump action= zero issues.

I actually ended up buying a smelter, 23 pounds of lead and a lee mold just to try to make my own. Going to cast a couple of hundred this weekend.
