20 year old mossberg 500a

i have a 20 year old mossberg 500 has any thing changed in the mechanics since 1990... i never used or shot this gun ...in the process of cleaning it and putting certain goodies on it..

I thought a 500a was 12ga? Isn`t something like 500c 20ga?

500A = 12Ga.

500C = 20Ga.

Basic mechanics / internals have not changed.

Nothing has changed. Had a 500 from back in the 80's which I changed out to have a PG with no stock. Don't know what happened to it but long story short, I picked up another in 2007. I found my old box with the rubber shoulder stock that has a PG and swapped it onto my new 500.

I still have the unused spare long barrel and the original handguard from the 80's. Maybe I can find a parts gun to make skeet shooter out of it. Do parts guns even exist?

My first shotgun was a +20 year old 500. I'm trying to see the humor in that. My second shotgun was +50 years old. The first rifle I bought was over 50 years old too.
