    Browning Citori malfunctioning

My buddy has a Browning Citori O/U trap gun. Guess its not resetting the trigger on the follow up shot. Anybody know a good shotgun gunsmith in the Stockton or Modesto area? Gues he's got a tournament soon.
This year will go down in history.... Don't want to offend anybody

    ><

Does your buddy know how the kinetic triggers on the Citori work, ie it has to be fired to set the second barrel.

Is he DRY fireing and the trigger doesn't set?

The new Citori setups are designed to work mechanically within the trigger system, whereas the older systems required solid recoil from the first fired barrel to engage the second barrel firing mechanism as Thefeeder mentioned. The system works fine when fired, but won't engage when dry fired on the second barrel. Light oil will smooth things out as well, as doubles have a metric crap-ton of moving parts in them. That's how you get the elegant smooth breaking triggers and complex barrel selectors to work using only one trigger. Let us know how it works out.

      I don't think it's nice,...you laughing.
You see, my mule don't like people laughing.
He gets the crazy idea you're laughing at him.
Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to,
I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Probably time to get the action cleaned. If he's comfortable pulling the stock off, that should be all it needs to get in there and clean it fairly well.
