Just bought my first shotgun. H & R pardner protector 12ga. I have read about 30 to 40 reviews and only came across about 2 or 3 bad ones. What do you cal gunners got for me?

i definetly like the wood over the synthetic stock. good to hear that other have good things to say. i definetly did my homework on this one. i would have liked to buy bigger and better but i feel like io definetly made a good choice.

My 14 year grandson and I purchased our New England 20 GA on the 27th...we get it on the 5th of January. We saw the H&R 20 GA before XMas and both of us thought it would be fun to own/shoot/etc. We got it for $199 here at Bullseye in Riverside + tax & $25 for the DROS. He's shooting a 20 GA Winchester 1300, CZ USA 20 O/U, Savage 20 O/U and my Browning Citori {12}....I think he will do just "fine" with the clay pigeons. My question{s} for others that have the recoil pad{s}...I paid $75 for the stock pad to be removed and a new recoil pad put on the CZ O/U and the new pad is as good as the
Citori original pad. WE were told we should just go to WallyWorld and buy the clip on pad but we were also told {informed} that if we leave the slip on pad on that it will discolor the wood. I told the GS "who cares, no one looks at the stock" ...Bullseye had the Pachamyr slip on in LARGE size. WalMart has the Limbsavers. Which size slip on should we purchase. Any preferences for the slip on pads? I did notice that the Red Dot & Unique gun powder has been bought up and the shelves empty {WalMarts} for .22 LR Ammo. Happy New Year fellow owners/shooters/wannabee's....

Great gun, especially for the price. I got no complaints about mine. It is plain and simple and has, so far, worked every time I shot it.

I dont have one YET but I am wanting one. so ive been looking up stuff on it seems to take all aftermarket and stock accesories for the rem 870 except for barrels which to me is a HUGE+ if I may ask how much are they going for ?and where did ya get it?
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774_1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764

I bought mine at Big 5. It was on sale for $199 and I had a 10% off coupon so $180 plus tax and DROS. That was this past summer. I saw one in Big 5 last Thursday for $219.

mine is a keeper, are there smoother actions out there heck ya. but thats all the difference I can feel. And if you shoots slugs you can make the trigger real nice with a few tools.

Mine has yet to have any issues(, aside from the fore-end grip and it's guide scraping off some of the bluing/parkerization).
