    Home defense shotgun O.C.

Howdy all. I have been considering a shotgun for home defense and have narrowed down my choices between a Mossy 500 and a Rem 870. My question is really where in the OC can I find some instruction in its use? I have almost no experience shooting shotguns and I want to learn how to correctly shoot it. I would be willing to drive a bit if it was a worth it.

This is a great place to go. From basic shotgun class to night time operations, they can really get you where you want to be with a shotgun.

Can't help you with a place to get training but the link above looks good. One thing is if this is really your first shotgun I would recommend you go with the Mossy. I have been a long time support of the 870 and own a couple but for people getting into it I have found that the location of the safety on teh mossy helps new owners get the fundementals a lor faster. I sent my gf to a class with an 870 and had to learn that the hardway.

They are actually running a home defense shotgun class today. If you have a chance swing by and check it out.

I highly recommend the Basic shotgun class with Stan of St. Crispian which is offered as well in Corona at Raahauge.

Will they fit in my Browning 525?

I'd have twice the breaching power !!

+1 For FTA, very competent instructors from the owner on down. Also after completing the General Shotgun, General Handgun, or General Carbine courses, you are invited to end of the month shoots. Classes held once a month which are essentially free of charge aside from a range fee to practice what you've learned.
