Saiga-12 drum magazines?

Search has failed me. Which brands of drum magazines are good and which ones should I stay away from?

The ProMag 10 round drum is the only CA legal one I'm aware of. It is basically their 12 rounder blocked to 10. It can require some minor fitting depending on your firearm. Mine has been very reliable, though since there are 10 round box mags you're paying a premium for the drum mag with no extra capacity.

I can't comment on the higher capacity ones, if those are actually available to you.

I had a promag and it ran perfectly.

Pro-Mag 10 round drums are supprisingly decent.
But, the (AGP Arms & SGM) 10 round magazines are more reliable.

Best I've used is the MD Arms 20 round drum.

i had a promag drum and it never wanted to feed the last 2 rounds, i've never had an issue with any of my AGP stick mags.

My Promag 10-rounder feeds flawlessly, but it did take a tiny bit of filing with a triangle file for initial fitment (Google it for easy instruction.) When I'm not using the Promag I use AGP mags and those are flawless as well.

Hey Guys, I'm new to the forum as my VEPR 12 is on it's way to my FFL dealer.
On another forum there was an owner that did a slight modification that allowed the VEPR to use the more available magazines and drums made for the Saiga.
I found that 10 round drum that stated CA legal but after reading the CA Shotgun legal flowchart from this forum: http://www.calguns.net/caawid/sgflowchart.pdf I'm wondering if the drum falls under STEP 10: Does the shotgun have a revolving cylinder? which disqualifies it. I know there are shotguns with alternating barrels like the SRM and others. Is that what they are referring to or would the fact that the magazine/drum rotates be considered a rotating cylinder?

A revolving cylinder is quite different from a drum magazine. A round is fired from a cylinder, not from a magazine.
