    VEPR 12 Breaking in Q?

I'm waiting on my Vepr 12 with great anticipation. During my pre-purchase research I came across a post by someone who said that for best results you should shoot several large load shells before mixing in the lighter loads. Has anyone heard of this? Is this a common practice w/ semi-auto mag fed SGs?

    Thanks for any feedback.

I know for the Saiga 12 you have to break it in. Not sure about the Vepr. Just shoot the cheap stuff. If it jams a lot, either sell it to me for half off or break it in with full power slugs.

For the S12, you are suppose to run some full power buck/slugs through it for the first couple hundred rounds.

Thank you, sounds like I should run the large loads for a couple 100 discharges just to be safe. Sell at half-off??? What medically approved drugs are you smoking? Given that it's hard to find a VEPR 12 CA ready, you'd have to make a pretty substantial offer, esp now that DC is talking weapons bans again (thanks Bob Costas).

Does anybody know what the dimensions are for a Vepr 12 or Saiga 12 10-rd mag? Do they fit into standard military mag pouches designed for large cap rifle ammo? Thanks.

the agp 10 rd mag will not fit a single 30rd mad holder, but a double will fit but it'll be a lot taller than the 30 rd ar type mag. if i can get some pics i'll post em if you need them.
